How to Study in College

Studying in College is a lot harder than studying in high school, mainly because you have a lot more to study and you have a lot more to distract you. I know I had a hard time trying to figure out how to study incollege. So, I have gone out and asked professionals, read research journals and found out what it really takes. Here are some tips that you can use to study well in College.
1. Get Good grades by being a leader and learning to say NO!
A lot of college students find it very hard to juggle friends and college, you need to take leadership and learn to say no if your friends are dragging you into something that is potentially going to harm your college grades. Be a leader, say no, your friends will probably be angry for five minutes and then they will understand. If they don't you probably need good friends. You are paying a lot of money in College so make the best out of it. I'm all for enjoying life with your friends but you need to know when to do it.
2. Focus properly
If you focus on what you do, it will take you a lot less time and it will also make sure that you do it a lot better. The main thing that is robbing College students of good grades is lack of focus, if you are on facebook, if you are on MSN and are trying to do your homework at the same time that is not good focus at all. You will take longer and your grades will not be that good when you hand the homework in. So make sure you focus, take chunks of time and focus on really doing academic work in chunks of time throughout the day.
3. Learn to take good notes
As long as you don't take good notes, studying will not really help you because you are going to study from your notes. So taking good notes is very crucial to College success. When you take good notes you can go over and look at them and understand what you did not understand in class. If your notes are bad you are going to look at them and get more confused.
